After a tragic accident leaves them the legal guardians of their best friends’ baby girl, Holly and Messer are forced into an arrangement neither ever wanted. Overnight, their lives shift from independence and routine to sleepless nights, diaper disasters, and endless disagreements about everything from feeding schedules to future plans. Their clashing personalities ignite constant sparks — some infuriating, some unexpectedly romantic.
As time passes, what begins as reluctant cooperation slowly transforms into something deeper. Between the chaos of parenting and the exhaustion of keeping a child happy, they discover surprising strengths in each other — Holly’s structure balancing Messer’s spontaneity, Messer’s playfulness softening Holly’s rigid edges.
