Standing in stark contrast is Owen Wilson as Alex Scott, a bumbling government spy whose lack of field skills is matched only by his bad timing. Together, they’re tasked with recovering a stolen stealth jet that has fallen into the hands of ruthless arms dealer Arnold Gundars (Malcolm McDowell), whose global ambitions could destabilize entire nations.
From the start, Robinson and Scott are a disaster in motion. Kelly’s ego clashes hilariously with Alex’s insecurity, and every attempt at professionalism devolves into chaos — whether it’s botching undercover assignments, blowing their cover during surveillance, or turning high-tech gadgets into ticking time bombs. And yet, through sheer luck, improvisation, and a surprising knack for survival, they manage to stumble forward in pursuit of the mission.
